Email Marketing Specialist

Summary of role

We are currently seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to own the digital development of email marketing messages, using both platform tools and basic HTML/CSS knowledge to create best-in-class email experiences for our clients. Your deep, working knowledge of email platforms, set up and ongoing management coupled with best in class practices will see you drive results for our existing clients as well as develop and grow our current agency offering in email marketing. This role will contribute to the success of the Social and Paid Media teams and play an essential role in the broader agency email marketing initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage, write, design and implement an extensive email marketing campaign to ensure business goals are met and emails have a high open rate and CTR
  • Create organic email databases for lead generation. Carry out segmentation of databases to implement remarketing strategies
  • Manage trigger email campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle to maximise engagement
  • Excellent understanding of email marketing concepts, available technology and different provider pros/cons
  • Understanding and ability to communicate to client metrics such as sender score, deliverability and sender reputation.
  • Track and report on KPI metrics from email marketing efforts
  • Must be able to know what resonates with certain audiences to grow email list subscriptions & segmentation of lists
  • Design and implement desktop and mobile-friendly HTML email templates
  • Ensure prompt and accurate communication with clients
  • Understanding best practices and industry-related compliance laws
  • Purge non-deliverable email addresses and opt-outs
  • Coordinate and monitor the maintenance, integrity, and security of several databases
  • Collaborate with 3rd party audience partners and system providers
  • Develop email marketing strategies, including messaging, creative and tactics to maximise retention and database growth in collaboration with other channels such as Social, Search and local area marketing

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience managing email marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience in building an email marketing campaign
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Proficient in setting up and leveraging email marketing automation platforms (eg. Campaign Monitor, Salesforce, Hubspot)
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, HTML/CSS, A/B Testing, and other content management systems
  • Proficient in data analytics to determine what worked and what didn’t by looking at the data and suggesting improvements
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM
  • Strong project management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Must be able to understand and integrate feedback coming from many different internal partners with diverse viewpoints and opinions
  • Working knowledge of retail and local shopping centre marketing would be highly advantageous
